Finding Purpose & Solving A Problem

Your vet gets thousands of calls and visits a year in regards to pain, chafing, cracked and bleeding paws.
Extreme weather conditions along with the environment do damage to the pads with nothing to act as a barrier.  Booties are not always an option on a hot sandy beach or salt ridden pavement and you may not even get your master of evasion evasion to put on, never mind keep on, all four booties even in the coldest and saltiest of conditions.  While climate change and less salt on our streets would help, sadly neither are realistic.
My name is Jessica, a dog lover.  I grew up with all things furry and about 25 years ago I started rescuing dogs. The kind no one else wants, complete with mental baggage and health complications.  A decade ago, I brought home a beautiful Rottweiler, she had a bullet in her neck and had been left for dead, she was just skin and bones.  The bullet was removed, she was given plenty of raw food and she quickly earned the name PIGGY, she was 120lbs of pure muscle.  Winter came and she made it clear that she would never accept the premise of booties. So, I searched the market for barrier creams, something that would offer her protection against the elements but nothing seemed to have all of the organic ingredients that would be best for her.  So I created and recreated until I finally developed both a paw wax barrier and paw butter to protect and heal her paws.  She loved them…and the paw massages were much appreciated as well. :)
Recently, we lost our PIGGY and decided to both memorialize her and share with the world these holistic, healthy products and so This Little Piggy and Company was born.  A line of handcrafted, small batch, organic, premium paw products that are Made in Canada.  We have since expanded our line to include our zero waste dog shampoo and conditioner bars also made in house by me.
Please join me in helping dogs thrive no matter the environmental conditions or health side effects.  Because we love dogs and they don’t love booties.
